Christmas presents for seafarers at Portsmouth

Apostleship of the Sea (AoS) ship visitor in Portsmouth Patrick Binks sent us this lovely story.
"The seafarers who arrive on the banana boats into Portsmouth will be pleased this Christmas.
Two parish contacts Maggie Mellor from Sacred Heart and St Peter, Waterlooville (seen here in photo) and Jo Jacques from the Catholic parish of Guildford have been hard at work collecting gifts from their parishioners for the seafarers.
Maggie has also put on a display of 35 cribs and organised a raffle to raise money to buy presents.
As a result of their great efforts every seafarer on 5 ships (more than 100 in total) will receive a wrapped present including woolly hat, chocolates, socks, and toiletries.
This will be the only thing that they get so they will certainly appreciate it."

Thank you Maggie and Jo for your wonderful work and thank you all of you for your support.
