Singing for AoS

Alastair Emblem, legacy officer at Apostleship of the Sea (AoS), had the chance to show off his musical talents recently – all for a good cause – to raise funds for our ministry supporting seafarers.
Alastair, who belongs to the parish of St Joan of Arc in Farnham, Surrey and his fellow musicians from Hidden Gem performed a concert at the parish centre and collected £546.
                  The group, which consists
five present and former parishioners, gave a wonderful, memorable and atmospheric concert on Saturday, January 17.
The music featured a variety of styles, including folk, 60's as well as original compositions and ended with humorous Irish jigs which brought the audience to its feet for vigorous dancing!
The evening raised £546 and the money will be divided between AoS and the Church Transformation Fund.
A huge THANK YOU to Alastair and Hidden Gem for their fantastic effort! And of course the parishioners of St Joan of Arc for their generous donations!
The band members are Bernie Morris (guitar and vocals), David Morris (accordion and guitar), Alastair Emblem (guitar and vocals), Tony Gardner (fiddle and vocals), Sue Gardner (banjo, guitar and vocals).
